Everett Claire Mathias

Everett Claire Mathias, age 92, of Ripon, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Fountain View Care Center, Ripon.

Claire was born on April 1, 1915 in Lanark, IL the son of Ben K. and Hazel (Arnold) Mathias. He graduated from High School in Lanark, IL and went on to graduate from Manchester College in North Manchester, IN. Claire worked as a Warehouse Supervisor for Green Giant Company and for the USDA in processing and production of fruits and vegetables grading in Ripon. He was a member Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. On April 16, 1939 he married Kathaleen Myers in Polo, IL. Claire served his Country in the US Army in WWII as a radio test and repairman.

Survivors include his children; Larry (Paula) Mathias of Lake Havasu, AZ, Lynn (Terry) Mathias of Ripon, Louise (Dennis) Belk of Madison, Lyle (Julie) Mathias of Ripon, Loren (Vicki) Mathias of Palmdale, CA, 9 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, and 5 great-grandsons. Claire was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kathaleen in October 2006, and one grandson Aaron Mathias.

Visitation for Everett Claire Mathias will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 10-11 am at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

A Memorial Service for Everett Claire Mathias will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Reverend Maurice A. Schaus officiating. Inurnment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
