Evora May Buchholz, age 84, of 1630 McCarthy Rd, Appleton, formerly of Ripon, died Monday afternoon, July 29, 2002, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Peabody Manor in Menasha.
She was born April 24, 1918, in Ripon, the daughter of Albert and Ida (Diskoski) Peschke. She graduated from Ripon High School. On June 10, 1941, she married Donald A. Buchholz. Mrs. Buchholz was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ. Evora had lived in Ripon for 80 years, and the past four years in Appleton.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Yaekel of Appleton; two grandsons, Todd & Troy Yaekel of Appleton; two nephews, Karl (Ann) Peschke of Lexington, KY & Ronald (Sue) Peschke of Fairwater; and sister-in-law, Elsie Peschke of Markesan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Buchholz of April 24, 1982; her parents; brother, Gordon Peschke; and son-in-law, Peter Yaekel.
Funeral service for Evora May Buchholz will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2002, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon with Rev. David A. Busker officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon.
Memorials will be given to Cherry Meadows Hospice in her name.
