Federico (Fred) Sanchez Ill, age 35, died January 24, 1999, in Oshkosh after a battle with cancer.
He was born March 13, 1963, in Mexico, and graduated from Martin High School in Lardeo, TX. Fred was as a migrant worker in Wisconsin when he became a U.S. Citizen. He worked at Oconomowoc State Canners. Stokely USA, and Friday Canning, now known as Chiquita Processed Foods of Pickett. He had been asst camp supervisor, worked in the personnel office and most recently was warehouse crew leader. Fred had been an enthusiastic sports fan all his life and his hobby was taking care of his automobiles. Fred was a great person with a big heart that touched many lives.
He is survived by his parents, 7 brothers, 2 sisters, several nieces and nephews, all from Laredo, TX. His special caregivers were Michael Luna and Laura Rico, both family members, and very special friends to include Ralph and Sandy Gruetzmacher and co-workers at the Pickett cannery.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 1999, at 7:30 PM at St Raphaels Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the church. A memorial has been
established for his family.
