Fern Schultz

Fern Berniece Schultz, age 92, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
Fern was born on May 12, 1920, in the Utica Township, WI, the daughter of Bernard and Leda (Ludwig) Steuber. She graduated from Ripon High School and went on to graduate in 1943 from the Holy Family School of Nursing in Manitowoc. Fern served our country in the United States Army and in 1946; she married Raymond John Schultz at Elo Methodist Church. She was a friend of Rosendale United Church of Christ in Rosendale and an honorary member of VFW 10195 Eldorado-Rosendale Post.
Survivors include her son, Paul R. (Sandra) Schultz of Hedgesville, WV; daughter, Ann C. Schultz of Ripon, WI; four grandsons, Paul (Diane) Schultz of Chicago, IL, Matthew (Margaret) Schultz of New Jersey, Mark (Tara) Schultz of Pennsylvania and Lucas (Nicole Marie) Schultz of New Jersey; eleven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Fern Zamzow of Fond du Lac, WI; nieces and nephews, Cindy (Todd) Boelter of Winneconne, WI, Kathy (Robert) Peschke of Rosendale, WI and Larry (Kris) Zamzow of West Bend, WI and further survived by many more nieces and nephews. Fern is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond; great-granddaughter, Marissa Schultz; brothers, Edgar and Arthur “Butch” Steuber and sisters, Lottie Banville and Pearl “Honey” Wiegand.
Visitation for Fern Schultz will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Saturday, August 18, 2012, from 2 – 3:00 pm at Rosendale United Church of Christ, 204 Division St., Rosendale, WI 54935.
Funeral service for Fern Schultz will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 3:00 pm at Rosendale United Church of Christ, 204 Division St., Rosendale, WI 54974. Reverend Wesley Wassell will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. Memorials may be directed to VFW 10195 Eldorado-Rosendale Post, 211 Grant St., Rosendale, WI 54974 or the Rosendale United Church of Christ Mission Committee in Rosendale.
