Ferrel A. Cotton, age 77, of Ripon, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Theda Clarke Regional Medical Center, Neenah.
She was born February 3, 1924, in Oshkosh, a daughter to William and Mary (Hempel) Scholler. Ferrel attended school in Westfield. On May 15, 1948, she married Kenneth Cotton. She worked at the Ripon Knitting Works for 40 years, and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Ripon.
Survivors include her children, Vallen Cotton of Ripon, Jeannine (Richard) Hirokane of Green Bay, Judy (Dennis) Gurke of Ripon, and Dennis (Georjean) Cotton of Ripon; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Bernice Hahn of Oshkosh; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one son.
Funeral services for Ferrel A. Cotton will be Saturday, June 2, 2001, at 1 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Bryan Fritsch officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale. A memorial has been established.
