Flavil A. Bud Freeman, 80, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2008, at Fountain View Care Center, Ripon.
Flavil was born on December 10, 1927, in Pyriton, AL ,the son of Arthur and Dora (Buchanan) Freeman. He attended school in Alabama and in 1948 he married Ruth Martin in Oshkosh, WI. Bud served his country in the Army during WWII in the South Pacific. He drove truck for Badger Concrete, and was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett.
Survivors include his wife Ruth of Ripon, his children, Patricia (David) Curran of MT, Catherine Freeman of Fond du Lac, Rodney (Peggy) Freeman of Ripon, Sharon Frees of North Fond du Lac, Douglas (Ruth) Freeman of Brandon, and Christina Freeman of Berlin; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Lucille Langford of LaGrange, GA; nieces and nephews. Flavil was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and one sister.
Visitation for Flavil A. Freeman will be held from 10-11:00 am on June 11, 2008 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett.
Funeral service for Flavil A. Freeman will be held at 11:00 am on June 11, 2008 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett, with Pastor Russell W. Kloehn officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Town of Utica, Military Honors will be conducted at the cemetery. A memorial has been established.
