Florence Barclay, 76, of Ripon, died Saturday October 25, 1997, at All about Life Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac.
On February 28, 1921, Florence was born the daughter of Reinhold and Elsie (Bierman) Luedke. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1938, and married John Franklin Barclay Ill. They resided in the Ripon area where she was employed at the Schultz Brothers Store, Pamida and Brauns Family Restaurant before retiring. Florence was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon where she was a member on the Mission Committee. She was also in Homemakers Club for over 50 years, Garden Club, was a 4-H Leader.
Survivors include two daughters; Mary (Dick) Pirwitz of Mauston, and Ida (Ernst) Neuenfeldt of Ripon, one son; John F. Barclay IV of Ripon, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One sister; Elda Page, two brothers; Oscar Luedke, Raymond Pete (Millie) Luedke, One sister-in-law Dorthea Luedke. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband John F. Barclay Ill who died in December 1981, her brothers Ralph and Evereth, and one sister Dorothy Tetzlaff.
Funeral Services for Florence will be held Monday at 12:00 Noon at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon with Pastor Eric Burnard officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
A Memorial has been established in her name.
