Florence Bier Hock

Florence H. Bier Hock, 81, of Geneseo, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at her home.
Florence was born on April 11, 1931, in Ripon, WI, the daughter of Felix and Cecelia (Schnekenberg) Witkowski. She was united in marriage to Arnold Bier in 1949 in Ripon, WI and then he preceded her in death in 1978. Florence later married Edward J. Hock on April 11, 1981, in Green Lake, WI and he preceded her in death in 2003. In earlier years Florence was a packer at Ripon Good Cookies. She later worked at the Duo Safety Ladder Company in Oshkosh, WI for several years. Florence was a member of St. Malachy’s Catholic Church in Geneseo and Women of the Moose where she had served as Senior Regent from 1990-1991. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita Miller of Princeton, WI; three sons, Dennis (Sherry) Bier of Omro, WI, Douglas (Mary) Bier of Poy Sippi, WI and Randall (Connie) Bier of Ocala, FL; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Hopp of Ripon, WI; three brothers, Andy (Darlene) Witkowski of Ripon, WI, Donald Witkowski of Marshall, WI and Michael (Donna) Levenhagen of Ripon, WI and special friend, Tony Flaherty of Geneseo, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two sisters, Beatrice and Lorraine “Teenie” and a brother, Bernard.
Visitation for Florence Hock will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Florence Hock will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon, WI. Memorials may be directed to Genesis Hospice.
