Florence W. Bly, age 88, of Brandon, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008, at Markesan Resident Home.

Florence was born on February 18, 1919, in Brandon, WI, the daughter of Daniel and Minnie (Daane) Theune. She married Howard W. Bly on September 20, 1940. Florence worked as a Dietary Aid at Fountain View Care Center and Ripon Medical Center. She was an avid gardener and loved to be outside enjoying everything the Lord created. Florence was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She accompanied Howard throughout the state to many Wisconsin Towns Association events. Prior to moving to Markesan Resident Home, she resided at Maplecrest where she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and word search puzzles. Florence was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church. She was a past member of Brandon United Methodist Church, where she was active in ladies and couples groups. She was also an active member of the Town of Metomen election board.

She is survived by 2 sons, Daryl and Roger Bly; 1 daughter, Debra (Kevin) Kaiser; 4 granddaughters, Stacie and Stephanie Bly, Tiffani (Kent) Floros and Bailey Kaiser; 1 sister, Eleanor (Wilbur) Gysbers and 1 sister-in-law, Hazel (Robert) Bly. Florence is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Bly; son, Orlin H. Bly; brothers, LeRoy H. (Evelyn) Theune, Raymond (Winifred) Theune, Edwin Theune and LeRoy (Marie) Theune; sister, Gladys (Arnold) Veenendaal and daughter-in-law, Kathy (Daryl) Bly.

Visitation for Florence W. Bly will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon.

Memorial service for Florence W. Bly will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Immanuel United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul W. Nulton officiating. Inurnment will be held in Brandon Cemetery, Village of Brandon on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel United Methodist Church Elevator Fund.
