Florence M. Miller, 95, passed away Monday, July 21, 2003, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born May 10, 1908, in Ripon, a daughter to Herman W. and Bertha (Tabbert) Meinke. Florence was educated through 8th grade in the Town Line School. On June 30, 1934, she married William Robert Miller. She had been employed at Ripon Advertisers in the cap department for 26 years. Thirteen of those years she had been a supervisor. She was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ and a charter member of the Evening Guild, and a member of Pilgrim Rebekah Lodge #195.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Warren (Florence) Flagel of Markesan, Betty Bumby of Ripon, Marian (George) Bauer of N. Fond du Lac, David (Janet) Meinke
of Marathon Key, FL, and John Meinke of Princeton; many great-nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Irma Meinke and Dorothy Meinke, both of Ripon. She is further survived by a godson, Lee Ninnemann of Appleton. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, William in 2001; an infant son, Robert Miller; and two brothers, Herbert Meinke and Karl Meinke.
Funeral service for Florence will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Our Saviours United Church of Christ with Rev. Mark West officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.
