Florence Bier Retzlaff, 93, died Wednesday, January 10, 1996, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
She was born November 29, 1902 in Ripon, WI, a daughter of the late William and Bertha Schultz Bier. Florence attended Ripon Schools. On September 20, 1922, she married Arthur G. Retzlaff and they farmed for many years in the Town of Ripon. Mr. Retzlaff died April 8, 1965. Florence was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Margaret Mackie of Pickett and Betty (Donald) Miller of Ripon; 1 sister, Leona Roeder of Ripon; grandchildren, Cindy (James) Dorsey, Jean (Thomas) Schuster and Jane (William) Coats; and 5 great-grandchildren, Joel, Angela, Amy, Sarah and Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Retzlaff, 1 sister, Myrtle Lindow, and 2 brothers, Alfred and Arnold Bier.
Funeral services for the late Florence Bier Retzlaff will be Saturday, January 13, 1996, at 11 A.M. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Rev. James D. Mohr will officiate, and interment will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorials will be given to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in her name.
