Florence M. Smoody, 83, formerly of Ripon died Saturday Jan. 6, 1996 at the Samaritan Home in West Bend.
She was born August 22, 1912 in Ripon, the daughter of Roman and Victoria Prallat Sina. She was educated in Ripon and lived in the Ripon area most of her life. Florence married Anton R. Smoody on Sept. 25, 1934. She was a member of Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
Mrs. Smoody is survived by 2 sons, Michael (Louise) of Oshkosh and Richard (Rik); 2 daughters, Rose Babich of Arvada, CO. and Mary Ann Norton of West Bend; 7 grandchildren; 4 great—grandchildren; 4 brothers, Heinie, Paul, Roy and Norbert Sina all of Ripon; a sister, Margaret Kasuboski of Ripon, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, a son, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon on Wednesday, January 10, from 9—10:30 AM with a prayer service to be recited at 10:30 AM. Funeral service will be held at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon, with the Rev. William L. Toelle officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery Ripon.
