Florian "Andy" Witkowski

Florian “Andy” Witkowski, age 82, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013, at Ripon Medical Center. He passed peacefully with his family by his side from complications of Pneumonia.

Andy was born April 11, 1931, in Ripon, the son of Felix and Cecelia (Schneckenberg) Witkowski. He graduated from Ripon High School and was in football, basketball, track and field and played the drums during his high school career. In 1972, he married Darlene Steifner at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. Andy was employed at Speed Queen for 42 years. He enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and NASCAR racing. Andy played on the Speed Queen Golf and Bowling Leagues. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Ripon, WI; two brothers, Donald Witkowski of Marshall, WI and Michael (Donna) Levenhagen of Ripon, WI; sister, Louise “Lou” Hopp of Ripon, WI; sisters-in-law, Betty Witkowski of Neenah, WI and Jackie Steifner of Ripon, WI; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Denise) Steifner and Duane (Diane) Schmid. Andy is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Andy was preceded in death by parents; son from previous marriage, Daniel Witkowski; brother, Bernard Witkowski; twin sister, Florence Hock; sisters, Beatrice (Raymond) Chikowski and Lorraine “Teenie” Witkowski; brothers-in-law, Arnold Bier, Ed Hock, Jim Hopp, and David Steifner and sister-in-law, Renee Witkowski.

Visitation for Andy will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 9 – 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 West Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral service for Andy will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. Pastor Joshua Pegram will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 West Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971.
