Floyd Anthony Sr.

Floyd Leon Anthony, Sr., age 81, died Monday, February 9, 1998, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon where he has resided for six and a half years.
He was born June 15, 1916, in Roodhouse, IL, a son to Jacob and Lucy (Carter) Anthony. He attended school in Roodhouse where he graduated from high school. He served his country during World War II for four and a half years and until his retirement, Floyd had been a postal clerk at the Roodhouse Post Office.
He is survived by two sons, John J. Anthony of St. Petersburg, FL and Floyd Anthony, Jr. of N. Fort Meyers, FL and four grandchildren, Jonas, Mykala, Leaf and Danielle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea in 1984.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family gathering will take place followed by cremation. Inurnment will be in St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Murrayville, IL.
