Floyd Delain Harke, age 90, of Ripon, WI, formerly of Fox Lake, WI, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at his home.
Floyd was born December 20, 1925, in Princeton, WI, the son of Herman and Clara (Jahns) Harke. He attended school in Princeton. Floyd served our country in the United States Army, entering on June 28, 1944 and fighting in the Battle of the Bulge from December 16, 1944 to January 25, 1945, where he received a Purple Heart. He worked as a caretaker for Fox Lake Trailer Park for 50 years. Floyd was a member of Randolph VFW Post 9510, Pickett Steam and Gas Engine Club and also worked as a Deputy DNR in Fox Lake.
Survivors include his sister, Deloris Hein of Ripon, WI and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Floyd is further survived by specials friends, Richy, Spark, Gary and Lynn.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Clara Harke; sister, Irma Wiese; three brothers, Leo, Harley and Arden Harke.
Visitation for Floyd will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 11 1:00 pm at the Fox Lake Community Center, 248 East State St., Fox Lake, WI 53933.
Funeral Service for Floyd will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 1:00 pm at the Fox Lake Community Center in Fox Lake. Interment will follow at Tichora Cemetery in the Town of Mackford. A memorial is being established in his name.
