Floyd Roy Kohnke, age 70, of Ripon, WI, died unexpectedly October 25, 1994, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born January 21, 1924, in Ripon, a son of the late William and Flora Denzine Kohnke. He attended school in Ripon and served his country in the Army for three years during WWII. On April 12, 1947, Floyd married Evelyn Stark of Kingston. Floyd was a welder and press operator for 43 years at Speed Queen until his retirement. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Ripon and a member of the V.F.W. Post #5278.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; one son, David Kohnke of Ripon; two daughters, Diana (Donald) Dorsch of Ripon and Barbara Kohnke of Lakeland, FL; five grandchildren, Adam, Aaron and Anthony Dorsch and Joshua and Jessica Kohnke; seven sisters, Eliza (Walter) Hathaway of Neshkoro, Margaret (Stanley) Poritz of Florida, Erna Metko of Oshkosh, Violet Butt of Oshkosh, Irene Hoeft of Markesan, Esther (Al) Felder of Ripon and Edna Ebert of Antigo; and two brothers, Orville Kohnke of Ripon and Frederick Kohnke of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Service for Floyd Kohnke will be held Saturday, October 29, 1994, at 10 am at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Richard Collier will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
Family and Friends may call Friday from 4 until 7 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A V.F.W. service will be held Friday evening at 7 pm at the funeral home.
