Frances I. Steineke, age 84, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI.
Frannie was born on February 26, 1926, in Wautoma, the daughter of Charles and Ingrid (Danielsen) Stratton. She graduated from Ripon High School and married Donald Steineke. Frannie later divorced Donald and worked as a telephone operator and receptionist at Speed Queen for 40 years.
Frannie is survived by her son, Gayhart Steineke of Appleton, WI; two brothers, Donald (Carol) Stratton of Morristown, TN and Harry (Shirley) Stratton of Milwaukee, WI. Francis is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Robert and Charles Stratton and a sister; Helen Bartsch.
Visitation for Frannie will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010, from 1 – 3:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Per Frannie’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service. A memorial is being established in her name.
Mom lived a good life on her own terms and will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Thank you to all at Fountain View Care Center and to Kris for being you. Also, Thank You to all at Ripon Medical Center and to all in the ICU at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh (Dr. Roberts and Briane).
