Frank William Bostelmann, Sr., age 90, died early Tuesday morning, March 5, 2002, at Green Lake Manor in Green Lake.
He was born November 7, 1911, in Chicago, IL, a son of Frank Otto and Nana Matilda (Winter) Bostelmann. After his early education, Frank attended the University of Illinois in Champaign. During the war, Frank was a pilot instructor in the Royal Canadian Air Force/U.S. Army Air Force. On July 3, 1941, he married Vivian Carol Melville. Frank was the third generation owner and operator of Bostelmann Beverages in Chicago. In 1971, he and Vivian moved to Green Lake where he was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake and the Green Fox Amateur Radio Club. He also was pastmaster of Riverforest Lodge #805 in Illinois, Ripon-Green Lake-Markesan Masonic Lodge F&AM #95 and the Zor-Shriners & Medinah Temple.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian; children, Sandra Samuelian and Frank Bostelmann, Jr., both of Chicago, Robert Bostelmann of Green Lake, Thomas Bostelmann of Oklahoma, and Donald Bostelmann of Markesan; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Frank William Bostelmann will be Thursday, March 7, 2002, at 7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Rev. Karen Gygax-Rodriguez will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be in Mt Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinois. Memorials to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Chicago.
