Frank J. Grouch Hansen
Frank J. Hansen, age 79, of Redgranite, WI. completed his journey on April 16, 2007 at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
He was born on June 24, 1927, in Chicago, IL, to the late Andrew and Agnes (Peterson) Hansen. As a boy Frank grew up in Montello, WI where he attended school and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Frank proudly served his country as a member of the Merchant Marines.
On October 30, 1948 he married Beverly Batson of Waupun. Frank made a career as a Gearologist driving for Badger Bus Lines of WI, Old Style Brewery of LaCrosse, Jahnke & Schultz Trucking of Ripon as well as an independent trucker.
His lifes journey took him to Clermont, FL in the late 1970s where he worked as a charter bus driver for many years. He took great pride in being the driver for the Boston Red Sox during many spring training seasons, and watching them win the World Series in 2004. Frank Retired in 2005 and moved back to Wisconsin to spend more time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Barbara (Jay) ONeil of Van Dyne, Jim (Michel) Hansen of Berlin, Howard (Jane) Hansen, Brian (Emily) Hansen, daughter-in-laws, Veronica Hansen and Mary Raatz all of Ripon; grandchildren, Ryan, Chad, Amanda, Casey, Terry, Mia and Zachary; 6 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Devan, Seth and Deegan and Amy; his long time companion Thelma Housouer and special friends, Pauline McCallister of Arorra, MO and Linda Mikel of Clermont, FL. Frank was preceded in death by his mother and father, Andrew and Agnes Hansen, a twin brother at birth, wife, Beverly and daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Paul Murphy.
Visitation for Frank Hansen will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Frank Hansen will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Burnard officiating. Internment will be held in East Side Cemetery, Montello. A memorial has been established.
