Frank G. Lueck, age 85, of Ripon, WI passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 1956 at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Frank was born in Ripon on April 12, 1871, the son of William and Anna (Lubitz) Lueck. He was educated in Ripon and went on to work at Hibbard-Spencer & Bartlett Wholesale Hardware Co., and then owned The Ripon Hardware Co. for 50 years until his retirement. On March 26, 1902 he married Julia Eilert in Baraboo, WI. Frank was a member of Modern Woodman of American, Ripon College Glee Club, Ripon School Board, Board of Public Works, he was a former Alderman and was a well known soloist with the former Germania Singing Society. Frank was also a charter member of The Ripon Kiwanis, and active in the Methodist Church in Ripon, where he was a former Sunday school teacher and director of the choir. Frank was an active member of the Ripon Cemetery Association.
Frank is survived by his wife, Julia Lueck; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford Halverson of Green Lake, WI; son, Nelson Lueck of Ripon, WI; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Lueck; a sister and two brothers.
Visitation for Frank will be held from 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 1956 until 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 28, 1956 at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Frank will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 28, 1956 at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon, with Reverend Douglas Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
