Dr. Frank H. McNutt, age 72, of Berlin, WI, died October 14, 1996, at Berlin Memorial Hospital in Berlin.
He was born November 19, 1923, in Painesville, Ohio, a son to Harvey and Annabel (Kemp) McNutt. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio and graduated in 1949, with a B.A. Degree. He did post-graduate work at Western Reserve University in Cleveland and later received his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Kirksvillem, Missouri.
Dr. McNutt was an active-duty veteran of WWII, serving three years in the U.S. Navy aboard a destroyer in the Pacific Theater. He practiced as a physician in the Princeton and surrounding communities for over 30 years until he was forced to give up his medical practice and retire due to ill health. Dr. McNutt was a life-time member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Princeton. He was a twenty-year member of he Princeton Rotary Club from which he received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. Dr. McNutt was a member of several Masonic Orders, a Shriner and was a member of the Moila Temple, St. Joseph, Missouri.
He married Betty Bob Clark of Kirksville, Missouri, from whom two children were born, Mrs. Marcia (Steven) Fagerburg of West DesMoines, Iowa and Stephen McNutt of Racine. In a second marriage to Allison Cadd were born two children, Kelly and Erin McNutt of Green Lake. He is survived by his four children; four grandchildren, Carrie, Brian, Kindra and Timmy; and two sisters, Mrs. Betty Klatka of Chardon, Ohio and Mrs. Jean Scott of Painesville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul and Ray.
Funeral services for Dr. McNutt will be held on Thursday, October 17, 1996, at 10 am at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Princeton with Reverend Richard Fite officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 8 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Thursday from 9:00 am until the hour of the service at the church. Burial will be in the Chardon Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio. A memorial has been established in his honor.
Dr. McNutt waged a courageous and determined struggle against his illnesses for sometime. We who loved him will miss him greatly, but we are grateful he can now know peace which he so deserves.
Everlasting God, when a light that can never be replaced has gone from our lives, helps us to mourn. We know that it is only through mourning today, that we can celebrate our loved ones life tomorrow.
