Frank Elmer Rudolph, age 92, lifelong Ripon resident, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon after a short stay.
He was born December 11, 1906, in Ripon, the youngest of 10
children of Herman and Amelia (Wagner) Rudolph. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1925. He worked at Vilters Manufacturing Co. in Milwaukee and Whiting & Riggs Oil Co. in Ripon. He began working at Speed Queen in 1942. On December 21, 1935, he married Pearl Marie Procknow of Oshkosh. She preceded him in death October 12, 1996.
Frank lived in the City of Ripon from his birth until he moved to rural Ripon in 1951, and began farming. He and Pearl farmed, and Frank continued to work as a foreman in the machine shop at Speed Queen. He retired from Speed Queen in 1971, and from farming in 1981, and moved back to the City of Ripon. Frank built three houses in Ripon, and enjoyed carpentry, woodworking and metalworking. He was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon.
Survivors include 1 son, Lee John (Sally) Rudolph of Bloomington, IL; 1 sister, Mabel Roeder of Fond du Lac; 1 granddaughter, Heidi Lee (Scott) Dean of London, England; 1 grandson, Paul Harford Rudolph of Culver City, CA; twin great-granddaughters, Julia Tisch Dean and Dana Madeline Dean of London, England.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 31, 1999, at 1:30 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate, and interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30-1:30 PM at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for Our Saviours United Church of Christ.
