Frank William Schwandt, 83, of 115 Cedar St., Ripon, died Friday, September 14, 1990, at University Hospital in Madison.
He was born November 9, 1906, in Markesan, a son of August C. and Lena Lemke Schwandt. On October 28, 1931, he married Lucille Grahn.
Mr. Schwandt was educated in Markesan. He was a farmer in the Pickett area since 1921, and was a rural mail carrier for 15 years. He was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett and a member of the Church Council for 42 years. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Pickett Cooperative for 17 years and was a past member of the Town of Rosendale Board. He also worked for the Ripon Cemetery Association for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; two daughters, Eileen (Glen) Taggart Riley of Seabrook, TX and Elaine (James) Welk of Ripon; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one sister, Viola Crossman of Omro. Three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call Sunday from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral services for Mr. Schwandt will be Sunday at 3:00 pm at the church with the Reverend Alvin Aichele officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Prairie Cemetery in Pickett.
