Frank J. Umbreit, age 82, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 1952, at his home.
Frank was born on September 23, 1869, in the Town of Rudolph, WI, the son of Christian and Lisa (Blochwitz) Umbreit. He worked in Kingston for 20 years and then was employed at the First National Bank for 27 years. In 1897, Frank married Ida Lueptow in Markesan and after she died in 1919, he married Emma Brandenburg Schulz in Milwaukee. Frank was active in church all his life. He served as Sunday School Superintendent in the Methodist Church of Kingston, as well as Sunday School Superintendent of the Evangelical United Bretheran Church of Ripon.
Survivors include his wife, Emma; two sons, Willard of Green Castle, IN and Clarence of Ripon; one daughter, Mrs. Bailey Hudson of Newport News, VA; one step-son, Roland Schulz of Milwaukee; one step-daughter, Mrs. Marvin McIntyre of New York City and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, two daughters and one step-son.
Friends may call on Monday, August 11, 1952, after 6:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Frank will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 1952, at 2:00 pm at Evangelical United Brethen Church in Ripon with The Reverend Theodore Jordan officiating. Interment will take place at Markesan Cemetery in Markesan, WI.
