Franklin Warren

July 6, 1925 — August 18, 1989

Franklin “Butch” Warren, 64, of S. Main St., Markesan, WI, died Friday, August 18, 1989, at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon.

He was born July 6, 1925, in Rosendale, to Frank and Ida Gransee Warren. On January 19, 1946, he married Bernice Schimmel.

Mr. Warren was educated in Rosendale and Ripon, and served in the US Army during World War II. He was a farmer most of his life. He lived in the Fairwater area and in Markesan since 1985. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater.

Survivors include his wife; one brother, Gerald Warren of Waupun; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothea Bradley and Mrs. June (Harvey) Zellmer, both of Ripon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater, with the Reverend Albert Grender officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairwater Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and on Monday from 10 until the hour of the service at the church. A memorial has been established in his name.
