Fred W. Ecklor, age 81, of Fall River, WI, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, in Appleton, WI.
Fred was born March 23, 1931, in Kenosha, WI, the son of Fred W. and Elsie (Berkemier) Ecklor. He graduated from high school in Kenosha and served our country in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1951. On September 5, 1953, Fred married Phyllis Schiellack in Kenosha at St. Matthews Episcopal Church. He was a pipefitter for Mechanical Associates Company of Racine, WI, for many years until his retirement in 1993. Fred was a member of the Masonic Unity Lodge # 367 F & AM in Kenosha, a member of the Wisconsin Pipefitters Trades Local Union 118 for 35 years, and he belonged to The Kenosha Bow Club. He was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church in Beaver Dam, WI.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Ecklor, daughters Laura (Tim) Kavalauskas of Kenosha, WI, Mary (Paul) Chappa of Berlin, WI; son, William Ecklor of Kenosha, WI; grandchildren, Timothy Soens, Amanda, Soens, Katie Dobberstein, Leah Skurski, Elizabeth Ecklor, Daniel Ecklor, and Budd Kavalauskas; great-grand-daughters, Taylor Soens, Dahlia DeJesus and Addison Skurski; sisters, Jean Phipps of Glen Ellen, IL, Patricia (Oliver) Christiansen of Kenosha, WI, Shirley Gail, Joyce Estvanek, brother Franklin Gail of Kenosha, WI, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Art Gail, brother John Gail and son-in-law Tim Soens.
Visitation for Fred W. Ecklor will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 10-11:00 am at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 700 E. Mill Street, Beaver Dam, WI, 53916.
A celebration of life for Fred W. Ecklor will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 700 E. Mill Street, Beaver Dam, WI 53916. The Reverend Mary J.
