Fred Mehn, age 86, of Ripon, WI passed away on Monday, September 24, 1951 at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Fred was born in Kottenhamer, Germany on September 12, 1865 the son of Henry Mehn. Fred married Amelia in Germany. He came to the United States and was a farmer and mason in the Ripon area where he has lived for 44 years.
Fred is survived by his two sons, Rev. W.H. Mehn of Horicon, WI and Paul R. Mehn of Green Lake, WI; daughter, Mrs. Frank Buchholz of Ripon; step-son, Henry Mehn of Berlin, WI; 25 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry; wife, Amelia; two brothers; and five sisters.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm on Tuesday, September 25, 1951 until 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 26, 1951 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 26, 1951 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 26, 1951 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church, with Rev. Theo Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
