Fred Sayler, of 566 Lyon St., Ripon died Monday, May 23, 1988, at Ripon Memorial Hospital at the age of 90.
He was born January 20, 1898, in Emery, SD, the son of Fred and Dorothy (Schnable) Sayler. He married Blanche Burk on November 29, 1923, in Watertown, S.D. She preceded him in death on July 11, 1971.
Mr. Sayler resided in Ripon since 1935. He was a carpenter and musician. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ripon.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Tempe, AZ and Donald of Conover, WI; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 1988, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 27, 1988, at the funeral home. The Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
