Frederick William Boese, age 86, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
Frederick was born on September 26, 1929, in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Fred and Bernice (Sawings) Boese. He graduated from Ripon High School and on June 3, 1950, Frederick married Shirley Ann Wittchow. Frederick held many positions in his life. He farmed, worked in the Speed Queen machine shop, rural mail carrier, hauled milk for a creamery, sold Jaeques Corn Seed and drove for Sweeney and Don Wagner. Frederick was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. He enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling and playing cards. Frederick also traveled to Niagara Falls, Dollywood, Hawaii and went on a cruise with his daughter, Sharon.
Survivors include his one daughter, Sharon (Tom) Newcomer of Weslaco, TX; one son, James (Diane) Boese of Ripon, WI; five grandchildren, Jennifer (D. Eric) Owen, Rebecca (Julio) Sosa, Amy (Eric) Vetrone and Joshua and Grant Boese; three great-grandchildren, Antonio and Nicolas Sosa and Easton Vetrone. Frederick was further survived by brother-in-law, Ken (Carol) Wittchow and sister-in-law, Lois (Harold) Novak. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley and half-sister, Eleanor Zimmer.
Visitation for Frederick will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015, from 2 – 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Saturday, December 19, 2015, from 10 – 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Frederick will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Interment will follow at Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun. Memorials may be directed to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.
