Frederick Mann

Frederick Albert Mann, age 98, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at his home.
Frederick was born December 5, 1917, in the Town of Brooklyn, WI, the son of Lano and Alvina (Meilahn) Mann. He graduated from Ripon High School. In 1941, Frederick married Grace Tollefson in Niles, WI. She and Frederick were blessed with two sons and four daughters. After Grace passed away in 1967, Frederick married Leatrice Werner in 1971. Leatrice passed in 2003. Frederick loved the land and farmed until 1960. He also worked at Nellis Limestone Quarry and Speed Queen in Ripon. Frederick was a life-long member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon and was also on the Dartball League. He was an avid sports fan. Frederick tried to never miss any game, he would listen to them on WCWC or go to them. When he couldn't attend, he would call parents of the children playing to find out the scores.
Survivors include four children, Linda (Norman) Graff of Markesan, WI, Lonnie (Jane) Mann of Ripon, WI, Iris (Lee) Miller of Ripon, WI and Janice (Alouis) Nechkash of Fort Atkinson, WI; 13 grandchildren, Tony Mann of Oshkosh, WI, Fred Mann of Sauksville, WI, Jeff Mann of Oshkosh, WI, Tim and Tom Graff both of Markesan, WI, Teresa Manthei and Anita Roehl both of Princeton, WI, Mark Bornick of Princeton, WI, Sheila Pascoe of Longwood, FL, Scott Mann of Green Lake, WI, Andrew Miller of Naples, FL, Brett Nechkash of Watertown, WI and Courtney Nechkash of Madison, WI; 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, Lano and Alvina Mann; two wives, Grace and Leatrice; son, David Mann in 2009 and daughter, Shirley Bornick in 1991; granddaughter, Natasha Gile; brothers, Alfred and Elmer Mann and sister, Mildred Moderow.
Visitation for Frederick will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 9 – 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Frederick will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
