Frieda I. Hartwig, age 96, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010, at Maplecrest Manor in Ripon, WI.
Frieda was born on October 21, 1913, in Princeton, WI, the daughter of Henry and Elsie (Woehlke) Lieske. She graduated from Ripon High School and on December 2, 1933, she married Harry Hartwig. Frieda was a homemaker and a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur (Nan Cederholm) Hartwig of Madison/Green Lake, WI and William (Judy) Hartwig of Punta Corda, FL; grandchildren, Lisa (Lee) Bendekgey of Burlingame, CA, Melinda Hartwig of Atlanta, GA, Erich Hartwig of Sun Prairie, WI, Sara Hartwig of Dallas, TX and Daniel (Rose) Hartwig of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Freddy, Harry, and Rose Hartwig of Burlingame, CA; brother, Robert Lieske and sister, Violet Bushweiler both of Ripon, WI. Frieda was preceded in death by her husband Harry; sisters, Loretta Lambert and Anita Bloch; brother, Arnold Lieske; sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Helen Lieske; brothers-in-law, Harry Lambert, Edward Bloch and Harold Bushweiler.
Visitation for Frieda Hartwig will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, from 9 – 11:00 am in the Chapel of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Frieda Hartwig will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Mark R. West will officiate. Interment will follow at Loper Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. Memorials may be given to Agnesian Hospice Hope, 745 South St. Green Lake, WI 54971.
