Frieda Page, age 93, of Ripon, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan.
She was born May 18, 1907, in Pickett, the daughter of Albert and Wilhelmina (Trapp) Messerschmidt. She attended school in Fisk. Frieda married Michael Badtke and helped on the family farm. He passed away on June 17, 1958. On September 23, 1972, she married Arland Page and he passed away on October 27, 1981. Frieda Clerked at the Davis Super Market in Ripon before it closed and later volunteered at the Ripon Senior Center. Mrs. Page was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Pickett and past member of Zion Lutheran Church of rural Oshkosh.
Survivors include her stepdaughter, Vernice (Ronald) Brink of Ripon; stepdaughter-in-law, Marilyn (Ervin) Page Schmidt of Fox Lake; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Michael Badtke and Arland Page; stepson, Marland Page; stepdaughter, Janice Beier; three brothers, William, August and Fred Messerschmidt and three sisters, Minnie Stobb, Theresa Kopitzke and Alga Bradley.
Funeral service for Frieda Page will be Sunday, April 29, 2001, at 3 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett with Pastor Russell W. Kloehn officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from
1 – 3:00 pm at the church. Committal will be Monday, April 30 at 9 am at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in Pickett. Memorials to Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett.
