Friederike Johanna Friedrichsen, age 94, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born to Max and Ingeborg Lorenzen in Struckum, Germany, on November 22, 1920. Friederike was married for 71 years to Hans Friedrichsen. They immigrated to Madison, WI, in 1952 and also lived in Georgia, Massachusetts, Texas and Florida and traveled for many years across the country in their motor home. “Rike” endeared herself to many with her kindness and candidness.
She is survived by her daughter, Helga (Judson) Rikkers, grandchildren, David (Sandy) Rikkers, Andrew (Jennifer) Rikkers, Benjamin (Maria) Rikkers, Daniel (Fiancée Kim Sanders) Rikkers and nine great-grandchildren. Friederike was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hans in 2011, and a brother and sister.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services. There will be a private celebration this summer of her well-lived life. A memorial is being established in her name.
