Gail Scherer

September 30, 1946 — October 3, 2004

Gail H. Scherer, age 58, of 636 Hamburg St. Ripon, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2004 at Ripon Medical Center.

Gail was born September 30, 1946, in Burlington, VT a daughter of Edgar and Doris (Hudson) Householder. She graduated from Pewaukee High School in 1964. She then attended and graduated from Carroll College in Waukesha, WI with a BA in Spanish and Sociology (cum laude) in 1968. Gail married David Scherer on April 13, 1968. She later attended the University of WI-Oshkosh graduating with a degree in accounting. She immediately passed the CPA exams and was employed as a CPA for the State of Wisconsin in the Department of Industry, Labor and Human Resources (DILHR) for 10 years. David and Gail moved to the Ripon area just recently from Mundelein, IL.

Survivors include her husband, David of Ripon; A daughter, Jenifer (Ken) Shaffer of Ripon; A son, Scott (Hannah) Scherer and their daughter, Kadyn Star Scherer of Fort Atkinson, WI; Gail’s mother, Doris Householder of Pewaukee, WI; and three brothers, Tim (Carolyn) Householder of Grays Lake, IL, Pat (Donna) Householder of Waterbury, VT and Peter Householder of Sussex, WI. She is also survived by several nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation from 5:00 until the time of service, all at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Pastor David A. Busker will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the National Multiple Sclerosis, WI Chapter, 1120 James St. Heartland, WI 53029.
