Garth Buchholz

Garth G. Buchholz, age 63, of Green Lake, WI, died Thursday, August 22, 1996, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.

He was born April 26, 1933, in Ripon, a son of the late Roy and Anna Will Buchholz. He was a graduated of Green Lake High School and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Garth served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. On December 26, 1957, he married the former Donna Bloch. He had been employed at Speed Queen from 1957 until his retirement in 1995. Garth was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake and had served on the church council. He had also served on the Green Lake City Council.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; four daughters, Mary Buchholz of Madison, Jan (Mike) Novak of Wautoma, Donna (Joe) Burtch of West Allis and Carol (Bill) Evans of Fort Collins, Colorado; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, June and Ruth Brooks.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 26, 1996, at 11 am at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake with Pastor Rodney Dietsche officiating. Burial will be in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 25, 1996, from 4 until 7 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Monday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. A memorial has been established.
