Gary P. Dorn Sr., age 70, of W11565 Olden Rd, Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at his home.
Gary was born on June 5, 1936 in Verdigre, Nebraska, the son of Phil and Evelyn (Chocholousek) Dorn. He was a graduate of Albuquergue High School in 1945, and attended College of Lake County. On August 30, 1957 he married Laura Booth in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Gary served our country in the Navy from 1954-1974. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Ripon, Pickett Community Center Board and Rosendale Township Zoning Board.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Dorn of Ripon; daughter, Laura (Sobhi) Ghandour of Herndon, VA; son, Gary Jr. (Kelly) Dorn of Ripon; grandchildren, Joshua and Kaitlyn Dorn of Ripon; sisters, Delores Worley and Yvonne Halburian both of Saguache, CO, Diane Carter of Part LaVaca, TX and Annette Murrin of Albuquerque, NM and brother, Phil Dorn of Cedar Creek, TX. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Evelyn Dorn.
Visitation for Gary Dorn Sr. will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2006 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Free Church, Ripon.
Memorial Service for Gary Dorn Sr. will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Marlin Mohrman officiating. Full Military Honors will be conducted at the church following the service. Memorials may be given to Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 777 Harvey St. Ripon, WI 54971.
