Gene Davis, age 62, of Ripon, died Sunday morning, July 18, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.
Gene was born January 12, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois the son of Noel A. Pillars. He graduated from Montello High School, and served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. Gene resided in Ripon for 38 years and was employed as a maintenance mechanic for the Green Giant Company for 26 years.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Davis, of Ripon; Three daughters; Wendy (Douglas) Polcyn, Tammy (James) Thiem, and DeAnna (Stacey) Krueger, all of Ripon. Grandchildren; Daniel Polcyn, Shaylen Thiem, Brennan, and Anastasia Krueger. Sister-in-law; Gertrude (Jon) Polcyn of Montello, and sister-in-law Dawn (Norb) Wianecki of Princeton and special cousins, George and Marge Keith, of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his mother and in-laws.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 20, 1999, from 4-7 PM at the
Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home of Ripon. Funeral services will be at the funeral home, on Wednesday, July 21, 1999 at 11:00AM with the Rev. David Busker officiating. Internment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
