Geneva Grim

February 5, 1916 — October 8, 2014

Geneva Fern Grim, age 98, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Kindred Hearts in Green Lake with family by her side.

Geneva was born February 5, 1916, in Atlanta, MO, the daughter of Edgar Linneus and Mary Ellen (Allbright) Dunnington. She graduated from Atlanta High School and on September 1, 1934, Geneva married Woodrow Walter Grim. Geneva worked for a department store called Harris Company for 14 years. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Geneva was a member of Westside Christian Church and Women’s fellowship in California. She was also a member of Terrace Shores Evangelical Church and The Federated Church of Green Lake where she enjoyed Bible study.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Roxana Grim of Green Lake, WI; four granddaughters, Jeanne (Jay) Haththotuwegama of Santa Ana, CA, Julie (Eddie) Azevedo of Hanford, CA, Belinda Weber of Delafield, WI and Janet (Ron) Kamys of Gresham, OR; two grandsons, Tim (Barb) Grim and Meade (Julie) Grim both of Green Lake, WI; eleven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Mary Ellen Dunnington; three brothers, three sisters, husband, Woodrow Grim; daughter, Janet (Lee) Behling; son, James Grim and two grandsons, Matt Grim and Jim Behling.

Visitation for Geneva will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2014, from 2 – 3:00 pm at The Federated Church of Green Lake, 489 Scott St., Green Lake, WI 54941.

Funeral service for Geneva will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at 3:00 pm at The Federated Church of Green Lake in Green Lake. Reverend Karen Gygax-Rodriguez will officiate. Interment will follow at Bluffton Cemetery in Town of Brooklyn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Federated Church of Green Lake.
