George Arthur Penke, 83, of 50 Wolverton Ave., Ripon, died Monday, June 6, 1988, at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon.
He was born March 6, 1905, in Ripon to Theodore and Augusta Hoffman Penke. He married Margaret Sauerbrei on March 5, 1930.
Mr. Penke was educated in Ripon. He was employed as a mill man for the Ripon Co-op and had lived in Ripon all of his life. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lloyd of Brandon Norman of Ripon; one daughter, Elizabeth Williams of Oshkosh; six grandchildren and one sister, Lola Siewert of Ripon.
Friends may call from 5 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, June 9, 1988 at the funeral home. The Reverend Robert B. LeCount and Brian Cook will officiate. Burial will be in the Loper Cemetery in the Town of Ripon.
