George C. Sixt, age 95, went to his eternal home on Monday, January 27, 2014, at the Barrett House in Ripon, WI.
George was born on September 12, 1918; the son of Frank and Rasina (Arbinger) Sixt. He farmed all his life in the Ripon area. He enjoyed having coffee at Cozy’s in Fairwater and playing cards at Lakeview on Little Green. In his later years he liked to go to the casino.
George is survived by a nephew, Lee Sixt of Markesan and a niece, Kristin (Randy) Block of Markesan; a brother, Carl Sixt of Princeton; and a sister. Dorothy Young of Ohio; further survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends. George was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Alphonse, Frank and Adolf; sisters, Helen Sixt, Mary Sphueller, and Genevieve Morgan.
Visitation for George C. Sixt will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971.
Prayer Service for George C. Sixt will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will be held at Fairwater Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Agnesian Hospice Hope, 745 South Street, Green Lake, WI 54941.
