George W. Thelke, age 65, of 5331 Quartz Drive, Love Park, IL, passed away on May 29, 2006 in Rockford, IL.
George was born on March 4, 1941 in Ripon, WI the son of George A. and Adeline (Sherlock) Thelke. He graduated from Ripon High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1964. In 1980 George married Karen Martell in Iowa. George was a store manager for an auto parts store for over 25 years.
Survivors include his wife Karen, of Loves Park, IL, his mother, Adeline Thelke, of Ripon, WI, one sister, Patricia Wuestenhagen of Oshkosh, WI. He was preceded in death by his father, George A. Thelke.
A Memorial service for George W. Thelke will be held on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 3:00 pm at the Honquest Funeral Home in Rockford, IL. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
