Georgia Pappas

Georgia Pappas, 95, died Saturday, March 21, 1998, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon where she has resided the past 5 years due to Alzheimer’s.

She was born August 15, 1902, in Gargalonis, Greece, the daughter of Louis and Zoe (Argera) Booras. The family came to Boston, MA in 1916, and then later moved to Rhinelander, WI. She married John Pappas in 1923, and lived in Ripon from 1925, until moving to Big Green Lake in 1952. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Fond du Lac.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mary P. Krueger of Ripon and Helen (Tony) Russos of Cottage Grove, WI; 7 grandchildren, Kelly Krueger, Kevin Krueger, Kirby (Val) Krueger, all of Ripon, Kea Krueger of Markesan, Kurt (Maria) Krueger of CA, Ted Russos of Madison and Niki (Ed) Russos-Atkinson of Cottage Grove; I brother, Gus (Orm) Booras of Oshkosh; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1976, brothers, Jim, Tony, Shorty & Ted Booras, sisters, Angie Marros and Jenny Vangalis, and her son-in-law, Arden Krueger.

There will be no visitation. A private funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, 1998, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with The Rev. Peter Pappademetriou of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon. Memorials to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Fond du Lac.
