Gerald Edwin Klingbeil, age 72, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha, WI.
Gerald was born November 27, 1942, in Montello, WI, the son of Edwin and Violet (Zabel) Klingbeil. He graduated from Montello High School. Gerald earned his cheese maker license at the age of 16 years old and worked at several cheese factories and other places of employment. He later became an electrician working at Rippin Good Cookie factory. In his later years, Gerald became a maintenance repair man in the Ripon school system and retiring after. He was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Princeton.
Gerald enjoyed fishing, trapping and deer hunting on and by Lake Puckaway where he was brought up. He also enjoyed stopping after church by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Klingbeil, for her tasty coffee cake and listening to them talk. Gerald also lived with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zabel in Fairwater in the summer months. He enjoyed life as a whole and could fix anything, except a broken heart. That is why he went away from this earth, because of a broken heart. Ill see most of you in heaven where we can all visit and discuss old times. Thank you God for all your blessings.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Bonnie Klingbeil of Ripon, WI; his son, Jeffrey (Shawn) Klingbeil of Princeton, WI; step-granddaughter, Alexis (Jerrod) Ferron of Ripon, WI; daughter, Danielle (Scott) Krueger of Altoona, WI; grandchildren, Jazmine, Joseph and Davina; one brother, Dale (Chyrssa) Klingbeil of Hartford, WI and sister, Lois (Vel) Anderson of Stewartville, MN. Gerald is further survived by special friends, Jim (Bonnie) Freise of Eldorado, WI, Gordon (Pearl) Stibb and Scott (Sheri) Huebschman of West Rosendale, WI and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Donna Klingbeil.
Visitation for Gerald will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 11 12:45 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A private funeral service for Gerald will follow with family. Pastor Daniel Heiderich will officiate. Interment will follow at Little Mecan Cemetery in Marquette County. A memorial is being established in his name.
