Geraldine V. Huth Dee, age 94, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at her home in Ripon.
Geraldine was born on November 16, 1914, in Brandon, the daughter of Andrew and Tina (DeRoo) VanderHoek. Geraldine graduated from high school and then she married Carlton Huth on June 20, 1942 in Ripon. Carlton passed away on May 21, 1963. Geraldine married Howard Dee in July 27, 1974 and he passed away on December 1, 1975. She was a housewife, caregiver to the elderly and also babysat for numerous people in the Ripon area. Geraldine was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon and was also a member of Willow Lane Homemakers Club.
Survivors include one son, Alfred (Linda) Huth of Ripon; two grandsons, John (Jamie) Huth of Oshkosh and Carl (Pepper) Huth of Ripon, great-grandchildren, Coral, Brad and Jade Rosengren of Oshkosh and Piper James of Ripon; two nieces, Betty Bumby and Marion Bauer. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Carlton and Howard; sisters, Millie Riordan and Jessie Redman; brother, Clarence VanderHoek; and sister-in-law, Irma Meinke.
Visitation for Geraldine V. Huth Dee will be held on Monday, September 28, 2009, from 10 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Geraldine V. Huth Dee will be held on Monday, September 28, 2009, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Maurice A. Schaus will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Mound in Waupun, WI. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church 430 Griswold St. Ripon, WI 54971.
