Geraldine L. Krentz, age 83, of Ripon, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Ripon Medical Center.
Geraldine was born on March 12, 1924, in Ripon, the daughter of Frank and Gladys (Antkowiak) Wizner. She attended Ripon High School, and later worked as a Housekeeper at Ripon College. On May 17, 1947 Geraldine married John David Krentz, Jr. in Fairwater. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time, Geraldine would go to garage sales or just spend time at home working on one of her sewing projects.
Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Theune, 3 sons; Jim Krentz, John D. (Jill) Krentz III, and Jeff (Kathy) Krentz, 6 grandchildren; Todd (Jennifer) Theune, Jodi (Mike) Sann, Kim Theune, Jenna, Jonathon, and Jordan Krentz, 3 great-grandchildren; Matthew Theune, Mason Theune, and Logan Sann. She is also survived by one brother, Charles (Margaret) Wizner as well as many nieces and nephews. Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents, 13 brothers and sisters, and her husband John who passed on June 23, 1993.
Visitation for Geraldine L. Krentz will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Geraldine L. Krentz will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Father William Whalen officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Town of Ripon. Memorials in Geraldine’s name can be made to: American Cancer Society, Midwest Div. 3311 S. Packerland Dr. DePere, WI 54115
