Geraldine Mary (Morgan) Piper, 59, of Ripon, WI, died Wednesday morning September 8, 1999, at home with her family at her side.
On August 1, 1940, she was born the daughter of Gerald A. and Mary A. (Nemuth) Morgan, in Oshkosh. Geraldine graduated from Oshkosh High School, she worked at Alliance Laundry System in the Print Shop as a machine operator for 18 years. On May 7, 1960, she married John David Piper at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon.
Geraldine is survived by her husband of 39 years, John; one daughter, Jill (Robert) Hoffman of New London; one son, John Joseph Piper of Ripon; two grandchildren, Ashlie and Alex Hoffman; one sister, Nancy (Everett) Morgan of Dousman, WI; one half sister, Susan (Mark) Goodacre of Oshkosh; and five nieces and nephews; one aunt, Ethel (Harry) Wightman of Fond du Lac; special friends, Sue and Rick Butz of Ripon; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Joseph and her parents.
A Scriptural Service for Geraldine Piper will be held on Friday, September 10, 1999, at 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Father Robert A. Fictum officiating. Friends may call on Friday, September 10, 1999, from 4:00 until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be on Saturday, September 11, 1999, at 9:00 am in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. Memorials may be made to Hospice Hope/Central WI Branch.
