Gertrude A. Eckstein, age 70, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 1985, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay.
Gertrude was born July 1, 1915, in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of John and Carrie (Mansur) Weiske. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1933 and then Oshkosh Business School. On October 2, 1937, Gertrude married Sam Eckstein in Ripon. She was a charter member of Ripon Lioness and a charter member of John Scott Horner Chapter D.A.R.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Eckstein; one daughter, Barbara (Donald) Hoffman of Montello, WI; one granddaughter, Michele Carrie Timm of Montello, WI and one sister, Mary Ellen Rich of Carlisle, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Visitation for Gertrude will be held on Sunday, October 6, 1985, from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Gertrude will be held on Monday, October 7, 1985, at 1:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend David R. Meyer officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah. A memorial has been established.
