Gertrude Hoekstra, age 91, of Ripon, died on November 13, 1989, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Gertrude was born October 5, 1898 in Brandon, WI, to Herman and Ottelia (Schmidt) Dallman. She was educated in Brandon. Gertrude was a bookkeeper for Brandon Meat Market. On October 10, 1942, she married Alex Hoekstra. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Brandon.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Viola Lohr of Beaver Dam, WI; four step-children and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and two sisters.
Visitation for Gertrude will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 1989, from 6 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Gertrude will be held on Thursday, November 16, 1989, 11:00 am at United Methodist Church in Brandon with Reverend Brad Green officiating. Interment will follow at Alto Community Cemetery in Alto.
