Gertrude A. “Peggy” Kraatz, age 94, of Ripon, WI, died Monday, October 18, 1999, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born May 8, 1905, in Hobeken, NJ, a daughter to Frederick and Anna (Stehling) Mitschele. She attended New Jersey Public Schools. On May 5, 1931, she married Rudolph P. Kraatz. She lived in Maywood, NJ and Merritt Island, FL prior to moving to Ripon. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Smith-Giombetti and husband, Tom Giombetti of Green Lake and granddaughter, Donna S. Johnson and husband, John Johnson of Ripon. Her husband preceded her in death in 1973.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 22, 1999, at 1:00 pm at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, NJ. Memorials in her name to the charity of your choice or to Aurora Hospice.
