Gertrude Wesner, age 92, formerly of Green Lake, died Friday, February 16, 2001, at Parkview Care Center.
She was born April 8, 1908, in Columbia Co., a daughter to Fred and Caroline Laun. After high school, she attended St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac. Gertrude was then a registered nurse, and provided private nursing care for people on the shore of big Green Lake. On October 7, 1943, she married William F. Wesner in Fond du Lac. He passed away on August 12, 1987. Mrs. Wesner was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake.
Survivors include 2 stepdaughters, Betty Jean Lombardo of CA and Joann Sisco of FL; 7 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; 2 nephews and 1 niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 brother.
Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. lnurnment will take place at a later date in Dartford Cemetery.
